Easy Ink Blending Techniques Inspired Card

Today's card is inspired by the Altenew Academy Easy Ink Blending Techniques course. It's a Shaker Card, which is a card featuring an area filled with sequins that shake around as you shake the card.

To begin this card, I started with the background of white cardstock and 3 colors of ink and ink blending brushes. I blended the colors randomly across the cardstock and here's how it looked when I was done.

Next, I used the clear packaging from a stamp set I recently acquired and made a pocket surrounding the entire background cardstock. I placed a couple of pinches of colorful sequins inside the pocket and sealed it on the back of the card. Then, I used the Altenew Stained Glass Cover Die cut from grey cardstock and adhered it over the clear plastic pocket.

Finally, I did a lot of diecutting from white cardstock. First, I used the Altenew Magnolia Layering Die Set to cut the flower. I used a color coordinated ink set from Altenew to color each layer for the flower and leaf. I cut the Hugs sentiment from 4 layers of white cardstock and adhered them all to the front of the card.
